All good things...

Camp has been over for three weeks now and everywhere I can see the signs of the off-season. The lodge is quiet and the patio lights are turned off, the pool patio is barren of its umbrella tables; the field is actually green again and did you know, I just turned off the pools yesterday. Lowering the maintenance schedule to once a week. Kind of a bittersweet thing. The end of one summer and the beginning of another… or at least the prep for another. I have guest groups to host, games to plan, themes to invent and four wheelers to ride.

I guess some of you are in your second week of school now aren't you? That's a new beginning for you as well. I hope your year is fantastic and thanks for an awesome summer. I'll try a little harder this year to keep up on the blog. Poke your head in once in a while.

Six short weeks

Hello again my camper friends!! How have the two weeks since I last wrote been? Are you guys winding down to the end in school? It is a short five weeks until staff arrive at camp and one week after that, you guys get here. Jr. 1 will be in six weeks.

I’m working to see about some new games, we definitely have some new skits and fun times. I can barely contain myself, I want to spill all of my secrets now, but I must wait until you get here. It helps with the excitement. For you JH campers I will say this, start brushing up on your trivia, you’ll need it for the night game. *hint* *hint*

For everybody, enjoy your last few weeks of school. I’ll see you soon and we’ll have a blast.

The sun is out and I'm thinking... CAMP!!

Well, well well. The sun has decided to shine, the air is getting warmer, birds are singing and I'm looking forward to camp. It will be among us in just a few short weeks (seven to be exact) and I could not be more excited for it. I can't wait for more Zip-Line, Climbing Wall, Chapel, BMX, Archery, Horses, Paintball and Team Comp. Sleeping out doors on Thuper Thurthday (or Wacky Wednesday for you girls) or in the Lone Cabin or the Tree House or the TP's or the Wagons, the list goes on. There is so much to do and we need you to do it. I can't have all this fun by myself. I'll see you in seven weeks.

Brochures

Well boys and Girls we finally got our brochures out. Hopefully they have reached you in the mail and you can start making your summer plans. As you may have noticed, we changed the format a little to give you bigger pictures, more information and less mess. Man, just talking about the brochure out makes me excited for summer. Plus I'm planning all the great games, awesome activities and exciting escapades for this year and there's only 15 weeks until the first camp starts! It's coming quick, are you ready?! Am I?! Ahhhh! So awesome!. I'll see you there!

I'm still getting used to this.

Well it has been far too long since I updated this blog. Camp is still here, we made it through the snow. That was an adventure let me tell you. I'm still doing some of the cleanup from it.

It is that time again. Time when the snow stops falling and starts melting (except today apparently) as weather warms up and spring awakens the hibernating animals and plants. This time of year I always think of camp. It may seem like a long way off, but can you believe camp starts in 16 short weeks? There is still so much to do, I have decorations to think up, night games to plan, new games to develop and a host of other things. I am uber excited though, we have a great summer coming up and I'm really excited to see you all and enjoy the great sunny summer with you. Have fun in the last of the winter snow and don't get too soggy this spring. I'll see you in a few short weeks.

Jr. Sr. High Reunion

Well my friends, it is that time again. The time when the rain starts falling, the school doors close, and the days get shorter. We here at Trout Creek realize that this is a long part of the year. There are many days and weeks between now and Christmas. What better way to relax and rejuvenate yourself for the rest of the school year than by coming to the TCBC Camper reunion? That's right all of you Jr. High and Sr. High Campers are invited to come spend the weekend of November 7th, 8th and 9th here at camp. We'll have fun games to play, devotional times, a speaker, food and of course reunions with friends from summer. So grab your duffel bag, fill it with clothes and ask (politely) for your parents to take you to camp. This is sure to be a weekend to remember.
